School, community and home-based occupational therapy
Luminate OT is a mobile occupational therapy service providing support to children (2-10yo) and their families within their home or educational setting. Luminate OT travels to clients in the north and north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide and supports individuals under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) with self-managed or plan managed plans, and families who may wish to self-fund or use other rebate schemes such as medicare.

Meet Chloe!
Chloe is the director and founder of Luminate Occupational Therapy and a registered Occupational Therapist through AHPRA, the Australian Health Practitioner Registry Agency.
Chloe is passionate about collaborating with children and their families to deliver individualised, evidence-informed, trauma-sensitive therapy. Chloe champions the use of a neurodiverse affirming, strengths-based approach and strives to provide therapy that is respectful of all abilities, needs and cultures.
Chloe has extensive experience supporting children and young people meet their goals, with a particular focus on kindergarten and primary school ages. Chloe is trained in using the Marte Meo and D.I.R-Floortime approaches to build connections and positive relationships and has recently undertaken training in using Dr Ross Greene’s Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model. Additionally, in 2023 Chloe expanded her skills within feeding and mealtime therapy. Combining years of experience with additional training, Chloe can also support your child with developing gross and fine motor abilities and self-care skills including sleep, feeding and toileting. Chloe continues to engage in professional development to ensure her practice is neurodiverse affirming, evidence based, and meets the current needs of the individual family and the wider disability community.
Chloe uses her experience and skills as an Occupational Therapist to ensure children and their families feel empowered to live a meaningful, authentic life.

Exploring strategies to support Sensory Processing differences and build interoception skills
Building resilience, self-esteem and self-advocacy
Supporting opportunities to engage in positive play experience (through a neurodiverse affirming approach)
Develop friendships and social wellbeing with a focus on self-advocacy
School readiness and smoother transitions
Attention and concentration strategies for learning and daily life activities
Executive function skills (planning and organisation for success)
Emotional awareness and regulation skills for the child, family and wider support network
Greater independence with self-care tasks (eg dressing and toileting)
Supportive sleep strategies
Gross motor skills (including balance, strength and coordination)
Fine motor skills (including handwriting, craft and self-care skills)

No, however Luminate OT can help you find an experienced provider who can provide this support.

Therapy can take place in the home, educational setting (may depend on the policies of the school/kindergarten) or in some community settings. The most appropriate location for therapy may depend on the goals set in the initial planning phase, however may change over time (eg when a child commences school and may need support settling in, rather than at home). Please note travel fees apply when accessing therapy in your home or child’s educational setting. The travel rate can be discussed further upon enquiry.

Luminate OT supports clients who have self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans, however can also provide support to families who are privately paying, or have access to medicare rebates or private health funds.
Therapy is charged according to the NDIS guidelines of $193.99 per hour, however financial hardship can be taken into account and discussed on an individual basis.

Therapy is tailored to each child and family and is based on goals set in the initial planning phase.
Depending on need and availability, Luminate OT provides weekly or fortnightly therapy however a parent only meeting is required at a minimum of once per school term when a child is seen outside of the home setting (may be in person or via a phone call/telehealth). Clients goals and progress are regularly reviewed to ensure effective therapy outcomes.
A comprehensive written report is provided to the family/caregiver at a minimum of once per year, or as required (eg by NDIS).

Yes, Luminate OT can provide comprehensive, once-off assessments relating to the concerns of the family, or assessment as part of on-going therapy (eg to determine goals, inform plan reviews etc). Assessment fees can be discussed upon enquiry.
